April

I typically post only 1 month behind...then May happened and I felt overwhelmed. So, it's now June and I'm just posting April. Life happened...here's our highlights...

This is RTC's soccer team. These boys worked really hard and love playing together. So glad all will be back in the fall!

Easter was in April this year. We were able to take in an egg hunt with some friends. It was so much for the kids. Glad this is one tradition that continues!

This is from the 4th grade program. Recorders & singing...the kids did fantastic!!!

With all the excitement May brought, looking back at how peaceful April I should have known something would happen!

Easter Weekend

Yes, I'm aware I'm almost a week late. Such is life...

We actually celebrated Easter all weekend long starting with Good Friday. LNC's day care is great in that they still have an Easter egg hunt. It usually is held on their enclosed playground, but due to the rain last week it was held in the kids' classroom. Here's my girl...I had to laugh because as I watched her she would go past the green, orange or blue eggs and only pick up the pink & purple ones. What a silly girl!!!

Then on Saturday we headed over to our friends' elementary school for our annual egg hunt with friends.

Why Indy came to the egg hunt - I'm not real sure...but they both had a really good time!

Then of course on Easter Sunday we went to church and had a great service. It was a great end to a great weekend. So glad the tulips lasted until we could take photos!

back track

I looked at my camera today and found pictures from April that I didn't download. I hate it when I do that. Anyway...

This would be the kids on Easter. We had a hunt with friends earlier in the week so Easter morning was just a hunt for the 2 of them. Easter was also our 23rd wedding anniversary - so we had lots to celebrate!

Then at the end of April Chesapeake Energy held a Daddy/Daughter Dance for their employees. All the primping must have tired her out as she fell asleep at dinner, however I know the dance is a tradition she'd like to keep! Don't they make a dashing couple?!

April 2011

I am really trying to ease back into scrapbooking so I thought if I highlighted some things on the blog it might help me get a kick start!

April was so fun and so full!

 Robert's kindergarten class performed a reader's theater.
We had another beautiful Saturday so we took another trip to the zoo. This time to be sure to see the elephants. The OKC Zoo just built a brand-new exhibit/habitat for them. Then a week after we were there one of the elephant's had a baby. So we'll have to go back soon!!!

All of the kindergarten classes at Roosevelt went to the Science Museum Oklahoma for a field trip. Scott even went too! This is Robert riding a segway.

Robert played soccer with friends from church. He had a great time!!
Scott & I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary! And last but not least...

EASTER - in Kansas...

We also had friends come from Virginia - yet we didn't take any pictures (what was I thinking?!)

These may not be award winning photos - but we made some wonderful memories!

Ahh...Easter

I love Easter - not for the chocolate bunnies or Easter egg hunts (while those are fun distractions); but because it's the time of year to reflect on true unconditional love. The love shown to us by our Heavenly Father & his providing for us a Savior. I hope to post some Easter egg hunt photos shortly. In the meantime, I hope you had a happy Easter & were able to spend it rejoicing in our Heavenly Father's love!
